Junior High (Grades 7-9)
EIA’s Junior High program is a student-focused learning environment guided by the school’s core values of diversity, inclusiveness, respect, and a love for learning.
Above all it is a community of engaged students and teachers working together to give meaning to their worlds – at home, in the classroom, within their local communities and the world at large – by developing their intellectual, ethical, and creative gifts.
The Alberta Education Program of Studies is the starting point in the core academic subjects – Math, Science, Social Studies, English Language Arts, Physical Education, Health, Arabic and Islamic Studies.
Instruction includes a wide range of styles including direct instruction, discussion, drills and practice, group work, individual research, and projects requiring application and demonstration of knowledge and skill. All styles used are designed to guide our students to become proficient independent learners who can work at a pace most favorable to their needs and abilities.
